Day 8

Today was a great day! I got this wonderful note from my friend, Norah, along with a HUGE bag of yarn and a hat that she had made for me. She is such a sweetheart! I love seeing the people who come out and make donations. I get donations of yarn, needles, and hats from the most unlikely people. It means a lot to see everyone coming together to support my cause.
Today was also a great day because I started another nightly knitting club. From now on (well for this week and next week) there will be knitting club monday nights from 7-8 in the athletic training room. I made an assembly announcement today promoting the new night and my t-shirts. I'm really hoping to sell more shirts so I can order more! Please, please, please let me know if you'd like one! Think about them as gifts for friends and relatives!
The rest of my day was spent knitting with my new yarn (Thanks, Norah!), and I almost completed another hat. I am trying to think of a way to display the hats I have already made or collected. Any ideas? I know how I will be displaying them at my actual "Knit-A-Thon" event, but I'd like for people to be able to see my progress. If you have any thoughts, let me know! I'd love to hear any and all opinions!

  1. How do I participate in the knit a thon??? Not sure...send me an email, please! Joan Saunders...also- for an exhibition space why not ask if you can set up a table or some form of hanging exhibition either in the theatre foyer before an assembly or how about something to replace the lights that have been in the foyer of Maxwell? I have a mitten tree that is rather small, but you could put 8 to 10 hats on it. Let me know. How fun this is!
